MV Aegean Odyssey

Copy of SEADREAM by SONETSEA

There is a particular pleasure that comes with cruising aboard a smaller ship. Hosting an average of just 350 passengers, Aegean Odyssey is no ‘floating city’. She is small enough to sail rivers and put into the more characterful ports inaccessible to the ‘mega-ships’, the service is more personal and you get plenty of time to interact with the onboard experts.

Yet on the other hand, she is large enough to offer a superb selection of amenities, including two dining venues, several comfortable lounges and bars, a relaxing spa centre and well-stocked library. Cabins are spacious, modern and intelligently designed, and 39 cabins across a range of categories (including balcony) are set aside for solo travellers at low supplement.

 Life Onboard

After all is said and done, what passengers love most about Aegean Odyssey is the warm and intimate atmosphere. Ships, like people, have personalities. Some are proper and formal. Others offer the anonymity of a large hotel. On Aegean Odyssey you are greeted as a returning family member, even if it’s your first time on board, and unlike a mega liner, it’s easy to meet fellow passengers whose passions and interests are similar to your own.

Attend to the mind…

Each cruise features a lecture program led by celebrated guest speakers, whose informative talks are sure to enlighten and entertain as they bring to life the wonderful sites you will visit. Our on board library is beautifully appointed and houses a well-stocked collection handpicked by the experts at the Oxford-based bookseller, Blackwell’s. Newspapers are received daily via satellite and current editions are available in the library.

...as well as the body

Relax on the sweeping sun deck and cool off in the outdoor pool. Revive yourself with the wonderful therapies and treatments available at the Athena Health Spa, or pamper yourself at the beauty salon and hairdressers. The full fitness studio is well-equipped and even offers early morning yoga sessions.

Anyone for tea?

There is something magical about the tradition of taking tea at sea. You’ll find a selection of freshly-prepared sandwiches, cakes and scones – with a cup of Darjeeling and panoramic views to enjoy, it’s a winning combination. We also serve light snacks at 10.30pm for those passengers enjoying a late night discussion about the day’s sightseeing.

Evenings to savor

Before dinner, enjoy a drink in the Charleston Lounge or watch the sun go down from The Terrace. After dinner, perhaps take in a lecture about the places you’ll visit the next day, or enjoy the string trio, pianist and vocalist performance. In some ports we organise local entertainment which is always well-received.

Stay connected

For keeping in touch with friends and family, our internet room is well-located on Belvedere Deck next to Reception. Wifi is also available in designated areas.

At your service

Fluent in English and always ready with a smile, our Filipino crew will win your heart. Your cabin steward will refresh your stateroom before you even realize you need it, and your waiter will remember whether you take tea or coffee. They, and the rest of our officers and crew, are dedicated to making your cruise vacation a delightful experience

Wonderful Food, Good Wine, and Friendly Service

As well as being one of the world’s most historically interesting and naturally beautiful destinations, the Mediterranean is also home to an unsurpassed culinary tradition. This gastronomic culture of using the very best fresh local ingredients cooked in a simple but delicious and healthy style is the inspiration for the three restaurants on Aegean Odyssey.

The Marco Polo (Lunch and Dinner)

The most formal of the ship’s restaurants, the Marco Polo, has a full waiter service, casual country-club elegance (a jacket is suggested at dinner) and Mediterranean influenced food. At lunchtime, you can choose from a variety of starters such as Parma ham and melon or tricolore salad, three dishes of the day including grilled fish, a pasta special and a choice of desserts, fruit and cheese.

In the evening, dinner will include appetizers, soup, salads, a choice of three or four main courses and desserts. The complimentary house wines are carefully sourced from Italy, Croatia, Sicily and Greece. There is also a full wine list of superior vintages available.

The Terrace Cafe (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

With a combination of indoor and outdoor seating, sophisticated Mediterranean interior design and cooking on the open grill, the Terrace Café replicates the charm and ambiance of a seaside trattoria.

The day starts in the Terrace Café with breakfast when you can either enjoy a healthy combination of yoghurt, fruit and muesli or indulge in eggs, bacon or omelette. For lunch, freshly grilled selections are available and there is a large buffet with hot dishes of the day, a selection of salads, Italian antipasti such as bruschetta, beef carpaccio or fresh mozzarella drizzled with virgin olive oil. Pasta is served with a choice of homemade Italian sauces and for dessert there is a large selection including ice creams. For liquid refreshment there is a wine and aperitif bar.

Outside at the Terrace (Dinner)

In the evenings, Outside at the Terrace is the perfect place to start your evening. Here you can choose from a selection of mouthwatering appetizers, try our delicious seafood or pick from the wide variety of pizzas. Equal care has been given to the selection of the house wines, complimentary with dinner, served at your table by our helpful waiting staff.

Charleston Lounge

An elegant lounge to sip your favorite drink with friends and fellow passengers. Enjoy an apertif or an after-dinner drink and listen to our talented musicians. For those in the mood, there is a small dance floor - we guarantee no discos!

Room Service

If you prefer to start your day in the comfort of your cabin, then our room service staff will be happy to bring a continental breakfast. There is also a limited room service menu available throughout the day from noon to midnight.

Late-Night Snacks

For those passengers enjoying a late night discussing the excitements of the day's sightseeing, a selection of light snacks, freshly prepared by our chefs, will be available in the Lido and Rendezvous bars
