Only improvements we'll likely see is the brand new engine enhancing shadows, reflections, colors, particle effects and casting them from
Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta the outfits. You can take a look how just implementing better shadows and colors can enhance older equipment by assessing ReShade screenshots. Collabs that have had their cosmetics removed nevertheless have their resources exist on the game so those will probably still be accessible for jp players. Only improvements we'll likely see is the brand new engine improving shadows, reflections, colors, particle effects and projecting them against the outfits. I really don't understand this sort of mentality. Do you not play with these game since they're fun to play? Or do you perform them with the concept that it is only"worthwhile" if these 100s of hours have been carried over like it is some sort of investment? I read stuff on the web like this all the time and it is so odd to me. It's a brand new game that brings new experiences to be enjoyed. NG being declared does not somehow negate the fun of now playing PSO2. NG is supposed to come out in 2021, which could be over a year from today. That's so much time to relish PSO2.
Ummm we just got the game in NA a number people did not play JPN servers this entire time and now we're being told any progress we make from the variant we just got will be for nothing if you want to play the new game. Some of us are also spending some cash in this version of the game. They need to have just never published this present variant in NA and just waited until 2021 for this particular one. I would have never even begun playing if I knew a brand new variant of a live service match was coming out. This is why Sega is a third party dev today rather than hardware manufacturer. They badly take you step forward and two steps back all the time and it's frustrating. The entire life span for NA is just starting so that it doesn't make sense in any way. Unless this game is similar to a single player experience, then it might make sense. What's the intention of this game? This is key information.
I mean, for a lot of us this game is just a quick log in, 5 minute daily, and then lobby idle until UQ, so that (maybe not ) new game won't really interfere with what a few of us are doing lol I like this game enough that I will likely continue playing with it even after NGS starts, especially if they're serious about encouraging it before 2022. In addition, the jury remains out on how cosmetics and other bound things will be handled outside of the obscure announcement. Cosmetics, premium, and
PSO2 Meseta for sale expansions are character bound but we do not know if they will continue over, but if they do then it will not be a complete waste of cash.
